We are very sad to announce the passing of Ruth Achieng, a dear mother, sister, grandmother and friend, on the evening of Friday January 27th, 2017. Ruth is survived by her son Eric, her daughter-in-law, Brenda, and her grandsons, Sam, William and Patrick, all of Norcross, GA, USA.

Ruth's family and friends would like to cordially invite you to a memorial gathering\fundraiser in her honor on Saturday February 4th, 2017 from 2:00 PM onwards at 1875 Mason Mill Road, Decatur, GA 30033. 

Ruth finally succumbed to a two year long battle with Stage 3 breast, and Stage 4 bone cancer, that bore a very heavy psychological, emotional and financial strain on her and her family, and saw her travel from LA to Atlanta, just before Christmas, to spend vital time with her son, daughter-in-law, and grandsons. 

Friends and family will be attending the memorial gathering as they can, so please feel free to drop in and lend your support. Her family will be greatly honored and equally appreciative of your presence and company at this time.

Her final farewell ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday February 7th, 2017, at the Crowell Brothers Funeral Home, 5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Norcross, GA 30092.
