I STAND WITH EMMANUEL ~ #iStandWithEmmanuel

 

13 years ago, Emmanuel Ndegwa Mururi was born of Samson Mururi Gachuki and Lydia Nyambura Mururi. 

 

He has struggled all along in performing self-care activities e.g. feeding himself, going to toilets and sitting by himself.  He has a family that surely loves him and has not burdened a day to be his support people. 

 

He suffers from Athetoid-Spastic type of Cerebral Palsy (CP).  He attends special education day care at the Cerebral Palsy Society of Kenya.  He also receives therapy for neuromuscular and cognitive development

 

Isaac, his elder brother’s greatest wish is that Emmanuel can join him as he visits his friends and play together. 

 

But now we have a solution to this struggle, God has answered our prayers by providing us with a hospital, doctors and nurses in India to aid in correction of his condition.

 

Emanuel is scheduled to attend a specialized treatment at Neurogen Brain & Spine Institute in India in the month of May, 2018.  

 

The cost of the treatment is Kshs. 3.5 million that include the operation procedure, medical supplies and accommodation of his parents during the treatment duration besides homecare services.  

 

 

After the treatment, he will be able to improve on his speech, balance, upper limb activity as well as cognition, understanding and improvement in his brain metabolism.
